Patrick Kabanda is a citizen of the world, uniquely qualified to serve as an international cultural ambassador. Through music, he helps people reconnect with their own rich cultural traditions and explore important social issues ranging from environmental challenges to poverty and human rights.
A native of Uganda, Kabanda travels the world performing, conducting musical workshops, and researching the role music plays in social and cultural contexts. He has performed in various places including Åland, Cairo, Hong Kong, London, New York, North Dakota, Manitoba, and Washington, D.C. and worked with students and teachers in cities and villages in Canada, Rwanda, South Sudan, South Africa, and Thailand. For him, music is not only a form of entertainment, but a vehicle for communication, education, and enrichment.
