The Creative Wealth of Nations: How Artistic Language Advances Development

You are invited to attend this thought-provoking panel discussion commemorating the United Nations International Year of Indigenous Languages. Moderator: Neil O’Flaherty; Panelists: Dr. Kathleen J. Van Buren, Patrick Kabanda, and Brian Schrag | Discussion will focus on the value of the artistic languages of indigenous communities in driving development results. The panel will provide proven methods and sound theory for incorporating local traditions with musical, dance, visual, dramatic, poetic and other artistic features in meeting community goals in a manner that honors their cultural identity while delivering cost effective results.
